The main Democrats are rallying around "soak the rich" (warning: it's a small book) somewhat to pay for improving government programs but probably more to be leveling and even possibly a little vindictive.
How do I feel right now about it all? Leveling is fair if we take everything into consideration. It won't be seen as fair to those who believe they deserve what they have and to keep it simply because they have it. When I say taking everything into consideration, I'm including that the system is wildly skewed toward the corrupt getting ahead financially. Ethics and morality are typically not strong points of the uber-rich.
Vindictive is completely wrong.
Taxing to pay for things is ignorance showing through.
I'm vastly more focused on simply creating the money the People want created and spent by the government into the economy on the projects and programs the People want and/or to give the money to the People but all at a level that will stimulate demand without causing general price-inflation.
I am for automating the leveling system so that it happens in as near real time as possible. That makes me more radical than the MMT economist Bill Black.
Ultimately, I want no taxes, only money issuance and withdrawal from the system evenly across the entire economy and exactly proportionate to wealth and income.
It would require 100% wealth and money transparency. It would require one and only one bank, which I say would be the US Treasury as the US Central Bank: no Federal Reserve Bank or system, no monetarism. Every transaction would flow through the Central Bank of the People, which bank would be a public utility, free for all.
