Humanity's main problem in the aggregate is we put money before everything else. On an individual or family level, we typically don't do that. We're usually willing to spend what it takes to save ourselves and our immediate loved ones. Quite often, in an obvious disaster or emergency, we reach out to help others. Our problem though is with everyday financial concerns. Way too many of us turn a blind eye to the steady erosion of our planet. We are shortsighted. We lack proper vision and leadership.
I've been following for years the issues surrounding grazing animals and desertification, etc. We need to do the things made clear in Alan Lewis's excellent article.
